Download the dos version of the software

Open a command prompt

type path

take note of part of the path e.g.

c:/windows/system32

copy the gutread.exe file there

change to the directory where the downloaded file from the Gutenberg Project is.

type

gutread the_text_file > the_new_text_file

for example

gutread iliad.txt > my_iliad.txt

Open the file in your favourite word processor.
